Admission into East Carolina University’s PA Program is very competitive. We select up to 38 applicants to matriculate into each cohort. Our process of application review and interview ensures a fair selection of students to join our program.
A student admitted into the East Carolina Physician Assistant Program must meet basic and essential requirements that are necessary for securing employment and effectively serving as a physician assistant.
The goal of the physician assistant program is to provide a primary care-oriented, rural-based training program for entry-level health-care professionals. You must have a bachelor's degree before entering the intensive 27-month PA professional track which begins in August of each year.
