Try re-installing Origin: Close the Origin client. Open the Control Panel (find it by searching “Control Panel” in the Start menu). Click on Uninstall a program under Programs. Click on Origin and uninstall. Reinstall Origin. Try running Origin as an administrator: Close the Origin client.

20 mar 2021 · I expect to see a download of 60Mb/s + since I have a 1000Mbp/s download speed. My download speeds were stuck at 1.45Mb/s even though I have a 1000Mbp/s line, I created that EACore.ini file so origin launches in R&D Mode, and the speeds were bumped up to 12Mb/s. My friends are at my house and their pc's download at 80Mb/s.

Hey @angelaquestions you can try lowering the User Access Control settings: Close the Origin client. Click the Windows button and type "UAC" in the search field. In the User Access Control window, click and hold the slide bar —slide it to the lowest setting available. Click Ok at the bottom of the window.
Hey @Xentik95 if you are seeing slower then expected speeds then can you try the following steps please: Disable all background programs on your system (including Steam). You can also do this with a clean boot. Temporarily disconnect all other devices that you don't need from your network.
This is an old topic but the issue still exists. I will tell you what worked for me. The buttons in the download section are definitely not working but if you go to your game library, click on the game you're downloading, click the settings icon and there you will see the option to "pause" or "resume" or "cancel" download. Those worked for me.

Right-clicking on the Origin desktop shortcut and running it administrator can help bypass download issues, too. When you open up the Origin client, select Origin in the top left>Application Settings>Check your download restrictions to see if you have your download rate capped out. Set it to no limit.
