Using modern cpus by default with Origins often results in strange glitches, crashing, and bugs in the game. WIth the following link to a guide, you'll be able to tell the game to only use 1 core of your cpu so the game runs as it was designed to be ran.
The easy fix is to restart the game when you start getting stutters and graphical glitches, that should clear it up at least temporarily. The better fix is to enable DAO to use 4GB of RAM. If you're using the Origin version you should be able to just run the patcher, which you can find at https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371 .

OK, Only fix is lowering graphic settings. Put textures to low, and details to high. Turn off AA. Limiting cores DOES NOT help. I had same issues and that fixed it for me. Game is old and probably that's why it's not well optimized for new cards. After finishing origins campaign you can turn it back to high settings.
