12 gru 2019 · The NIPT prenatal test is a trusted elective screening tool used to assess the genetic risk of a fetal chromosomal abnormality, such as Down syndrome, in the first trimester of pregnancy.
We estimated test accuracy in a high-risk population of 10 000 pregnancies where 3.3% of fetuses have Down syndrome, 1.5% have Edwards syndrome and 0.5% have Patau syndrome.
