The team builder will suggest you characters based on the team leader and the rest of the selected characters. It'll also recommend the best leader to use for a select group of characters. I do think I did quite the better job than Dokkan Battle's built-in team builder!

Let's say you want to do a SBR with Accelerated Battle team. Then simply go to Team Builder, and on the left side select the Accelerated Battle as the category filter. Add all the characters you think are strong for the fight and simply check out on the right which of the possible teams you might want to run.
