  3. 25 paź 2022 · I have a 4k 144hz monitor. But I heard 4090 only supports DP 1.4 (4k 120hz). However, 4090 also has HDMI 2.1 port, which supports 4k 144hz. Has anyone tried the 4090 with HDM 2.1 yet? so we can set it up to 4k 144 instead of 4k 120.

  4. 2 sie 2019 · That requires DisplayPort to be able to take advantage of those features. I've tried disabling G-Sync, turning the refresh down to 60Hz, and lowering games settings. Problem occurs on both monitors when I use DisplayPort and goes away on both when I use HDMI. I've tried using Nvidia Control Panels V-Sync, and capping the framerate with RivaTuner.

  7. 26 lis 2016 · The hdmi port on Asus VG248QE does not support 144hz it only supports 60Hz. For the higher refresh rates you have to use a dual link dvi-d cable or displayport. Ive used both with mine and I've seem no discernable difference between them.

  8. 28 lis 2016 · I hear you , but checking last night seems to me a noticeable difference (better) using Displayport version of Freesync, however, it gives me 144 hz vs 120 hz with HDMI so not the best test. As far as I know, HDMI can only go up to 75Hz.

  10. 2 paź 2014 · It has an HDMI input but if I want to use the monitor's high refresh rate or G-sync features I have to use DisplayPort. HDMI doesn't support framerates that high or G-Sync. I'm not positive on this but I think that is changing with HDMI 2.0. For that to work, both the monitor and GPU would have to support HDMI 2.0 though.
