16 lut 2019 · Dell does not provide pin outs or diagrams for anything anywhere ever. A standard power supply won't physically plug into the connector so the point is moot. This is also why I posted a picture of the moddiy adapter.

14 kwi 2020 · The only way is to use a step-up DC-DC converter ("purple +5V" from the power supply ==> DC-DC ==> connector purple +5V ..... and connect black GND from DC-DC with black GND on the 8-pin connector). Alternative is to use a separate power wall adapter which has a +12V stabilized output.
