David Cross (born 23 April 1949 in Turnchapel near Plymouth, England) is an English electric violinist and keyboardist best known for playing with progressive rock band King Crimson from 1972 to 1974.
Electric Violin. Initially inspired by Leadbelly, the Beatles, Bartok, Coltrane and his church organist father, David became an irrepressible improvisor and experimenter. His subsequent immersion in rock music introduced him to a new, vast pool of expressive possibilities.

David Cross was the violin player of King Crimson, during the years 1972 and 1974 and participated in the albums Larks Tongues in Aspic, Starless and Bible Black and Red. Further than King Crimson, he played with many famous musicians and recorded lots of solo albums.
