The enlarged valve area and angled transfer port greatly improve CO2 flow, thereby increasing velocity. Our test gun shot 14.3 grain pellets at around 590 fps. We got about 17 full power shots per cartridge. The B&A "Boss" valve can be installed in the 2240, 2250 and 2260 air tubes.

I have a 2240, and want to make it a .177 for target matches? I have a Crooked Barn Replica of the Crosman Steel Breech. Other than changing the blot to have a .177 probe, are there any other mods to do?
13 maj 2009 · The top one is a 2400 from the Crosman Custom shop in a Steve Cochran stock. It's had several internal mods and shoots between 580-600 fps on a 12g Co2 cartridge with a ported custom shop valve. The Middle one is a 2250 with a Crooked Barn Max Flow Bulk valve and trigger work. It's shooting over 700 fps.
