The Crash Data Unit is the state’s primary repository for all motor vehicle crashes on Kansas roadways. Our records go back 10 years. The unit is stationed under the Bureau of Transportation Safety at KDOT headquarters.
Crash records are validated at the TRS and are distributed to repositories at KDOT, KHP, and other State agencies. Historical crash records as well as new submissions are searchable at the TRS by law enforcement via KCJIS. State agency users utilize the TRS Internal Portal.
