11 lut 2010 · Hi there, Can anyone give me some advice on rejecting the first offer I've had from my car insurance company for my stolen car? It's a two year old car and I've been offered half the purchase price - I don't want to be greedy but to re-buy the same car would be another £1.5 - £2k on what's been offered so I'd like to reject the offer.
7 lut 2011 · I am not laible for the storage charges as i was told by Copart and HD in the past as this will be claimed through the 3rd party, the car was taken there by HD and not me. I did not ask them to store it there neither did i ask them to sell it. its an agreement bewteen HD and copart whcih they should resolve amongst themselves.
23 lis 2023 · My son's car was involved in a minor accident - and his insurance company, without even seeing any photos of the damage have decided 'the vehicle may be a total loss, which means it is uneconomical to repair, therefore we have appointed our salvage company Copart to collect and inspect your car' Its 'book value' is £4,000 so not an expensive car, but not a cheap one.

My new car BMW 1 series came with the completed paper work, V5 and VAT recipt. Unfortunatelly the VIN number on the chasis was removed and I'm having a major difficulty with finding the body shop willing to restamp it.

Today I had a call from the Salvage company "copart" who wanted to arrange a time to come and collect the car. I have looked at the DVLA site and need to complete a form for retention of the plate , but need the insurance company to give me written permission to take the plate. Also the car needs to be available for inspection.
