Check here for more options. Arguments (beware, the order matters!): -vn disables all video-streams from the input. -sn disables all subtitle-streams from the input.
30 mar 2013 · Drag MP4 into window. If the original audio track in the MP4 file was MP3, you can go directly to ‘Audio->Save’ and get the original, untouched audio with no quality loss. If you have a file with 95kbps in a highly efficient format, to retain the same quality, a relatively inefficient format as mp3 needs a higher bitrate. Of course you will never get anything back that was lost in the first place.
11 mar 2013 · However, there's a big caveat: this only works if the audio and video codecs are supported in the target (MP4) container, which is the case for H.264/H.265 and AAC, for example, but not for many others. Also, subtitle format support for MP4 is different from MKV, and actually quite restricted, so this command may fail.
I have a load of audio files (about 1000) which I want to convert from m4a to mp3 so I can use play them on a CD player which has a USB port. I tried doing something simple like: ffmpeg -i FILE.m4a FILE.mp3 but this seems to reduce the bitrate to a very low value, which isn't what I want.
