6 paź 2022 · I watched The Eternals which Chan starred in and she was just kind of there. She’s very beautiful but not very charismatic. Constance Wu on the other hand is much more charismatic and compelling in both FOTB and Crazy Rich Asians. I think it’s because Wu has professional acting training and Chan was a lawyer by trade.
I love Constance Wu and just last month I was wondering about her after I read some article about Gemma Chan. I wondered what happened to Constance who was billed to be the next big thing. I am glad she is okay now and finding her peace. Atleast I will be rooting for her comeback.

14 paź 2023 · Just got out of Little Shop of Horrors off-Broadway. I had heard so-so things about Constance from others but I can say confidently that she absolutely DRILLED that role. Incredible stuff. I don’t want to sound hyperbolic but her Somewhere That’s Green is the best I’ve ever heard. And I’ve seen a loooooot of productions of this show.

1 wrz 2021 · Constance wu isn’t a genuine movie star though. You bring up hustlers but ignore the fact Jennifer Lopez was the star of that film. She’s the one that got the critical claim, she was the main marketing force behind that film. It’s almost like saying Zoe saldana is a big movie star because she’s been in avatar and endgame.
