8 kwi 2022 · In the coming weeks I will do many detailed photos showing you unique features of the 9mm design compared to 5.56 upper receivers. Here is the first photo which gives you a look inside the upper receiver and at some of the chamber area. 5.56mm is on the left, 9mm DOE is on the right.
I built mine with an OG Colt A1 slickside 9mm upper, and a Garrison barrel assembly. His original handguards feel more like authentic fiberglass furniture, but he re-released a new style with aluminum heatshields that have a better fit and finish.
For the lower, I will be using the same one that this 5.56, 11.5" had with a KAK Colt style mag conversion mag well and a K-Spec Enhanced 9.5oz with flatwire spring. Here's the parts list and where to get them: H&R Stripped 9mm Upper - PSA
