Collections are special groups of items (see collectibles) that when collected and traded in, give out special rewards. Usually collectibles have a 3% chance of dropping when money is being collected from a building (Businesses or Housing) or when crops are harvested.
There are 32 collections to get in CityVille. Collectibles can be found from many of the businesses and activities undertaken in game. The collectible you get depends on the activity in question, so harvesting Strawberries gives you Strawberry collectibles, for example.
