Scheduling Building, Electrical, Gas, Mechanical & Plumbing Inspections. Inspections are scheduled through Permits & Inspections online permitting service, which allows contractors and homeowners to schedule, cancel or reschedule inspections.

The City of Virginia Beach will provide any Virginia Beach resident 65 or older FREE parking in the 4th Street, Sandbridge and Little Island municipal parking lots after applying online through the Permit Portal. Once approved, parking can begin immediately.
Permits. Any business that uses, stores or manufactures regulated amounts of hazardous materials or uses a hazardous process may require a permit. A business with small amounts of hazardous materials as outlined under the Fire Prevention Code may be exempt.
