The World Choir Games (formerly named the Choir Olympics) is the largest global choral festival and competition. [1] Organised by the Interkultur Foundation for choirs from all over the world, regardless of their country of origin, race, genre of music or artistic ambitions, its motto is "Singing together brings nations together".

The World Choir Games were born – and conquer the world. The first edition of the event in China, 2006 in Xiamen, was the first one with the new title The World Choir Games. The choir Olympic movement was now a real global event with a record in participating numbers and visibility.
World Choir Games. The idea to create an event like the World Choir Games is based on the Olympic ideals, which aim to peacefully unify people and nations connected by song in a fair competition. This idea is supposed to inspire people to experience the power of interaction by singing together.

22 wrz 2022 · When the World Choir Games were conceived for the first time in Linz, Austria, the idea had been inspired by the Olympic Games and their ideals, and the aim was in fact to peacefully unify people and nations through singing in fair and friendly competitions.
