There was plenty leftover so I gave the remainder to my buddy who did method #3 on his FS and the result is pretty similar to the factory CS protector on my Epic Evo.

19 sty 2010 · i've personally used that method until i got a regular cannondale chainstay protector from my lbs, i feel this protects equally as the electrical tape as its pretty light and thin, it just looks better. i'd similarly recommend this only for XC riding without constant slapping.
22 sty 2021 · Are you using a clutch rear derailleur (that is working properly)? I find chainslap to be significantly reduced from 10 years ago when clutch derailleurs were not the norm. I lizard skin protector is probably about the best, but other solutions are cheaper that won't look as nice.
3 lut 2019 · The Lizard Skins frame protector is a clear protective strip of vinyl with a strong adhesive backing, designed to protect chainstays and other tubing from chain slap or damage from stones and the like. It's neat, unobtrusive and seems relatively effective. My gripe is value.
