From what I can understand there are basically four STC engine options. Avcon - Del Aire - Stoots all doing 180hp lycoming o-360. xpmods with the 210HP continental io-360.
12 lut 2017 · Sell the 170 wings, buy 175 wings and a couple days to switch'em over. Relatively cheap and easy. I've had a couple with the 180 lyc/CSP and think they are great for up to 2 and camping.

A stock 170, 170A, & 170B, will not, nor doesn't have STOL performance, above the package that was designed 65 years ago.
