Its primary attraction was its comparatively low cost – about 30% less than an import before the receiver-import ban, and now perhaps an even lower comparative price.
6 maj 2023 · To answer your question though, Yes its the era but also the availability of receivers that century had access to during it. there was no rhyme or reason to how they built rifles either as they would not produce them using up stock according to serial # progression or country of origin.
21 maj 2022 · FAL uppers, while not Sten-gun trivial, seem so much simpler than many machined parts one finds in the aerospace biz, or even in high-viscosity pumps... aren't the original FN blueprints now in the public domain? What IS the key problem in making dimensionally-correct domestic receivers?

11 maj 2018 · What I am trying to understand is - what exactly are the common problems with Century FALs built on Hesse receivers? For example, bad heat treatment or wrong steel grade would obviously be a deal breaker for me.
The two R1A1 rifles I have had run just fine, and my century built upper on an imbel receiver runs well too. Check out Arizona Response Systems, he has a guide on century receivers if I remember correctly.
