The Bank of Albania (Albanian: Banka e Shqipërisë) is the central bank of Albania, issuing the Albanian lek. It is headquartered in Tirana, with five branches in Shkodër, Elbasan, Gjirokastër, Korçë and Lushnjë, and a Research and Training Center in Berat. [4]
21 kwi 2021 · 1. Economic performance, price stability and the reaction of the Bank of Albania. 2020 was a hard and challenging year, marked by the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The measures taken to contain the pandemic coupled with the heightened uncertainties drove Albanian economy to recession.
16 lut 2021 · In comparison with central banks of advanced countries, the Bank of Albania has not applied unconventional monetary policy measures in order to expand its balance sheet. Following, I will continue to elaborate on the reasons why this approach has not been adopted in Albania.
