The Child Development Services system is an Intermediate Educational Unit that provides both Early Intervention (birth through two years) and Free Appropriate Public Education (for ages three through five years) under the supervision of the Maine Department of Education.
The nine regional CDS sites serve the various geographical regions of Maine. Find the regional site serving the town in which the child lives or call the State IEU at 877-770-8883.
Regional CDS sites provide case management and direct instruction for families with children from birth through age five. Each site conducts Child Find, which is the process of identifying children with disabilities.

Children ages 3 to 5 are referred to the Fraser-Ford Child Development Center by Child Development Services of York County (CDS) at 207-985-7861. Transportation is available through CDS or your local school district.
