“Captain Canada” first appeared in the cartoon feature “Captain Newfoundland” which appeared in St John’s Sunday Herald. He was developed in the graphic novel Atlantis. The introduction in the newspaper “Captain Newfoundland” became the introduction in the Atlantis story with suitable modifications.
