While not PEA, which is a likely the most effective dispersant for fuel additives, Lucas UCL does have cleaning abilities in addition to its lubrication properties.

  2. 18 mar 2006 · The regular Lucas Oil Stabilizer is based on heavy bright stocks, with 20-30% Olefin Copolymer viscosity improvers. This much can be surmised from the MSDS. The Synthetic Oil Stabilizer is much less viscous, with a viscosity of 45 at 100C.

  3. 17 lis 2020 · the biggest bash against Lucas is their engine oil additive/stabilizer. Independent studies have shown it does nothing but dilute the actual engine oil additives and thicken up the oil. Some of their other products are decent (I have used their gear oil in the past).

  6. 19 maj 2015 · Have you ever checked out bobistheoilguy.com? You can usually get a good appraisal of various oil additives on that site. I've been using Shell Rotella T6, a "synthetic" diesel-rated oil, for quite awhile. It's 5W40, which I think is about right for year-round use in the Great Lakes region. I can often find it on sale for less than $20/gallon.

  7. 6 sie 2005 · I would be using the fuel additive. I checked on the bobistheoilguy website and was warned away from the oil or gear additve, but most say the fuel additvie is a good way to go, but mainly for carb engines..
