The Golf R hasn’t needed anything outside of oil changes, alignment, brake flush and a haldex fluid exchange. While the Audi has needed some more work over the years. Some of that is expected given it has more miles.
10 lut 2023 · No it’s not the Audi “Quattro” that everyone loves. I drive in Canada and the Haldex is fine. Good snow tires helps to. I have had a Q50 awd rear bias and my S3 is great and no complaints or confidence issues in the snow. I also work a job where I go in snow rain or shine and drive in the worst road conditions S3 handles it all

11 mar 2024 · I was totally solo for this job so had to improvise a few steps. I found TDC using a fiberoptic scope (from Amazon) and hand cranking the engine from below whilst watching the camera. In order to access the crank pulley in the S3 I had to remove the windshield washer reservoir.
26 sty 2022 · Very soft suspension (in comfort, I also have sport suspension) but when you go in dynamic the stiffness is nice. If you’re looking for stock performance go with S3, if you want both, go with A4 and get a Stage 1 tune. Thats the thing, S3 has 302HP and can get 360 with some mods and a tune. A4 Is bigger and heavier.
21 paź 2016 · Dude it's an Audi. The reliability is amazing, especially considering you're getting a 2017. To be fair here, I recently bought a 2017 S3 which is currently being built in Germany right now, BUT I've had a 2014 A4 purchased new. Still drives like I bought it yesterday, zero maintenance costs yet (other than oil changes), and one small recall.
28 sty 2021 · I preferred the R's interior over the S3's, but I was comparing a 2019 vs 2016. The biggest advantages to me were that the R had more boot space and it is a good bit lighter than the S3. I do like the overall exterior of the S3 better, though. It’s all about which one “fits” you better.
S3 is a smaller more nimble car, with great power out of that little 4 banger. It's a haldex awd, no option for sport diff. S4 is a more spacious sedan, great engine, true mechanical quattro system (torsen) with option for sport diff. It's also ~3900-4100lbs depending on options and is a bit porky. 28 kwi 2022 · The new G42 M240i is as fast as the current RS3. The S3 can't compete anymore. It also has a great inline 6 engine and is RWD, while the S3/RS3 is a tarted up Golf. M240i and it's not even close. I’m looking to get one of these two cars. This is mainly going to be a car for pleasure/weekends.
