Despite the continuing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, ADB committed $4,766 million in climate finance in 2021, of which $3,438 million (72.1%) is expected to contribute to mitigating climate change and $1,328 million (27.9%) to adaptation.
Sustainable financing has gained significant momentum in 2020 and regulators across Asia have stepped up efforts to promote the development of green finance and support the region’s transition to a sustainable future.
