Book Level measures the readability of the text of a book or other reading material. Accelerated Reader Bookguide allows you to see either the ATOS book levels or Lexile® Measures for your books and other reading materials (see the General preferences ).
After a student selects Accelerated Reader on the Home page, he or she can take Reading Practice, Vocabulary Practice, Literacy Skills, and Other Reading Quizzes. To see a video demonstration of how students take a quiz, click here. Students should take quizzes within 24 hours of finishing a book.
Reading level indicates the most difficult text a student can comprehend based on a standardized test (such as Star Reading) or results from Accelerated Reader Reading Practice quizzes. Your child's reading level helps to determine the range of book levels your child should select books from.
23 cze 2016 · The ATOS formula used in Accelerated Reader analyses the full text of a book, not merely short passages. The book level is determined by the characteristics that most heavily influence readability: average sentence length, average word length and word difficulty level.
18 wrz 2020 · Accelerated Reader supports guided independent reading in face-to-face, remote, and hybrid/blended learning environments. Many of the AR routines and best practices that apply in the physical classroom are equally relevant when students are learning virtually.
3 wrz 2020 · Both AR and AR Bookfinder also display Lexile ® levels. The combination of readability and interest level provides a powerful tool to determine if a book is an appropriate match for a student—neither too easy (causing boredom) nor too difficult (causing frustration).
