Timeline. Destruction of the World Before Time. [1] Age of Myth. World Before Time is caught by Dracothion and Sigmar learns to travel to the mortal realms. Sigmar unifies the Eight Realms and finds the deities who survived the destruction of the World Before Time.
Sigmar awakened during the end times, and when the world was destroyed, he drifted through space, clinging to its core, until the stardrake Dracothian found him and brought him to the mortal realms. This started the age of myth, when the chaos gods hadn’t found the realms yet.
The history of the Mortal Realms is divided into the Before the Ages era, Age of Myth, Age of Chaos, and Age of Sigmar; with the latter further divided further into Realmgate Wars, Season of War, an unnamed period of expansion for Order, the Time of Tribulations, the Arcanum Optimar, and the Era of the Beast.
The Age of Sigmar formally began when the Stormcast Eternals of the Hammers of Sigmar Stormhost were sent to the Brimstone Peninsula of Aqshy to open the Gate of Azyr called the Whispering Gate located there and begin the Realmgate Wars to retake the Eight Realms for the forces of Order.
