9 wrz 2009 · Love the alternate history angle, the gothic Tim Burton-esque post-apocalyptic visuals, and the action sequences are creative and well-executed. Wished I cared more for the characters and the plot really doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
9 is a 2009 animated science fiction film directed by Shane Acker, written by Pamela Pettler and produced by Jim Lemley, Tim Burton, Timur Bekmambetov and Dana Ginsburg. Set in an alternate version of the 1940s, the film follows a rag doll labeled "9" who awakens shortly after the end of mankind following the uprising of machines.
Plot: 9 is a little burlap doll with watch parts for innards. When 9 first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world where all humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from scary machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction.
