When you join 4-H, you’re a part of something big! 4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization, with more than six million members and over 90,000 clubs. The four H’s are head, heart, hands, and health.
Joining 4-H can be as simple as attending one of our events or club meeting with a friend who is already a member of 4-H. Club meetings are open to the public. Some schools offer an after-school 4-H club, which are easy to attend. Every participation counts, and we’re happy to have you!
A 4-H club is an organized group of at least five youth from three different families with at least two 4-H approved adult volunteers. Members and leaders meet regularly and have a planned program that is carried out through all or most of the year.
4-H community clubs consist of youth in Kindergarten through one year beyond high school graduation coming together to learn and serve. Each club is unique because the members themselves decide which of the projects and activities they want to do.
