The 2023 Illinois State Fair runs from August 10th through August 20th. The Fairgrounds are open from 7 a.m. to Midnight for the duration of the Fair. The Fair Administration Office is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the fair.

The 2024 Illinois State Fair will run from August 8 - 18 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds - located at at 801 Sangamon Avenue. During the event, the fairgrounds will be open from 7 AM to midnight.

Gates open at 7:00 a.m. More than 70 county fair queens and 105 fairs and expositions from across the state are represented at the fair. It is also the first day of harness racing at the fair’s one-mile dirt track, which is the fastest in the world.
The Illinois State Fair returns for 2024, August 8 - 18, with an all star concert lineup and a the return of a new Route 66 presence. Gate 2 of the Illinois State Fair is home to the Illinois State Fairgrounds Route 66 Experience.
