The 100 Acre Woods Trail leads through the forest over rocky and rooty terrain. Good supportive shoes are nice to have. The property is owned by the University of Maine and has trails have been developed by a local mountain bike group since 2012.
The area is named after the famous wooded area home to the characters in Winnie the Pooh. The trail was built in the summer of 2013 and passes through a wooded area with some small streams and bog boards in place in areas that are typically wet. There are also some large erratic boulders alongside the trail.
