If the child is uncooperative or anxious, the parent or guardian is the correct person to administer ZithromaxS to the child to reduce the child's anxiety.
Usual dose: 10mg/kg/dose (to a maximum of 500mg) once daily.(4, 6) Oral azithromycin therapy is as effective as IV.
