30 sie 2023 · I am considering purchasing either a Zenith ZF-5 or a HK SP5. I understand the price differences on the firearms and that this is an HK forum, and there’s likely a bias towards HK manufacturered firearms.
Produced in Turkey on licensed HK machinery, Zenith Z-5 is a perfect semiautomatic rendition of the original MP5. Installation of a sliding stock requires BATF registration as a Short-Barreled Rifle, but resulting gun is fast, maneuverable, and has a high “cool factor.”
The Zenith ZF-5 is one of the most well-rounded, in my opinion. You don’t have to sacrifice quality for the little bit lower price tag the ZF-5 comes with. If you’re in the market for a new SMG, specifically an MP5 clone, I highly recommend checking out the Zenith ZF-5.
Zenith’s Z-5RS is simply a licensed MP5-style pistol produced on HK tooling by MKE in Turkey. Because of this licensing agreement, Zenith and MKE are adamant that despite common parlance, this pistol is not a clone. What's in the Box? As new firearms go, the Z-5RS is rather impressively packaged.
