The CH 640 is a conventional four-seater, with a 2 + 2 seating configuration. The prototype aircraft is powered by a 180-hp Lycoming O-360 engine. The design features a fixed tricycle landing gear, large dual gull-wing doors, a wing span of 31.5 feet and an overall length of 23 feet.
The CH 640 is a four-seat, low-wing touring aircraft with tricycle landing gear and a single engine in tractor configuration. It has a standard empty weight of 1,147 lb (520 kg), a gross weight of 2,200 lb (998 kg) and an acceptable engine power range of 150 to 240 hp (112 to 179 kW).
For those that have already started a CH 640 kit project, or for those already flying one of these remarkable 4-seat aircraft, Zenair is committed to providing as many parts and sub-kits as possible - for as long as possible - to complete the aircraft and/or to maintain & repair existing aircraft.
The ZODIAC's cabin is ergonomically designed for comfortable side-by-side seating... even for larger pilots. To most pilots, the ZODIAC's seating arrangement provides "Lazy-Boy" comfort, even on long cross-country flights.
24 kwi 2020 · This has unfortunately made production of our affordable airframe kits for the Zodiac CH 640 economically un-viable. Rather than increase the price of these kits, Zenair has decided to cease production and sale of all new drawings and/or kits for this particular design.
