Volvo’s two feature multipoint fuel injection and are rated at 200 hp (V6-200) and 225 hp (V6-225). Interestingly, the MerCruiser 4.3 TKS is one of the few inboards today without fuel injection.
21 sty 2011 · Mercury MerCruiser has filled a hole in its line of ECT (Emissions Control Technology) sterndrive engines with the introduction of the 4.3 MPI ECT model, a 4.3-liter V6 rated at 220 hp. MerCruiser will now offer seven sterndrive engine packages with exhaust catalysts, ranging from the 135-hp 3.0 MPI ECT to the 430-hp 8.2 MAG H.O. ECT.
23 cze 2009 · The 4.3 MPI is fuel injected vs the 5.0 is carberated. The 4.3 will be much better on the gas and should have the same top speed, the 5.0 will be better out of the hole to planning speed. Fuel injected is always better for starting and long term maintainance.
