In order to edit your own maps for ETS2/ATS, you need to load up the map editor program. SCS Software have provided a map editor that is built into the game. Getting to the map editor is much easier in recent versions.

This tutorial will help you set up your game correctly for using the map editor. 1. Enabling the Editor. Navigate to your user folder – C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 by default – and open config.cfg in a text editor. Find the line g_developer "0" and change the value to "2".
19 paź 2020 · After yesterday's update of the game to 1.40, I followed instructions on modding wiki to update my map mod to 1.40 and everything has been fine. After that I continued my work, I saved the map and after that, I restarted the map editor and tried to load the map and the editor didn't load my map.

This assumes you have the base.scs and def.scs extracted into a folder, and basic knowledge of how to open and use the Map Editor. Please make sure your mod folder is empty before continuing as to avoid conflicts with other maps etc.
