I started playing the VN two days ago on vgperson's website, and the site's been down since, so wanted to download it directly. Since all vg's translation links send you to Mediafire anyway, I'm wondering if there's an option to cut out her site as a middle man.

Technically that’s all you need to do. The game is the .exe file named “Game”, it should work if you click it. However, I think.exe files only work in Windows, so if you’re using a computer with Mac or Linux, you might need to use an emulator to run the .exe file. I don’t know if that might be your problem.
