WHAT IS YQCA TRAINING? YQCA is designed as an annual education and certification program focused on food safety, animal well-being and character awareness for youth producing and/or showing pigs, beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, and poultry.
YQCA Training Information. All fairs in California require that 4-H youth members showing or selling an animal at the fair must be certified in YQCA - Youth for the Quality Care of Animals. The training can be taken online or at an Instructor-Led Training.

YQCA is designed as an annual education and certification program focused on food safety, animal well-being and character awareness for youth ages 8 to 21 producing and/or showing pigs, beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, and poultry.
You may attend instructor-led training (often offered for FFA clubs and some larger 4-H groups) or complete online web-based training. YQCA certificates must be renewed each year. Each child will need their own registration.
