   I've had a problem with YouTube being slow and buffering anything above 480p with a 300mbps connection. I now finally found a fix. If you are using Killer networking go to settings and disable all services with "Killer". A quick restart later and boom YouTube is back to normal.

   Try the h264ify extension. Install AV1 and VP9 video extensions from Microsoft Store and Reboot. See if that results in smoother youtube playback. Not sure if the options in the BIOS and in Power Options can cause that issue but it's worth checking.
