I agree, very different play styles top vs mid. majority of top lane matchups are melee, which means you can contest every minion. This makes the lane so much fun, especially when you hit max range Qs while the enemy is CSing.

Doesn't matter, depends on the matchup. On top there are usually tough oponents and on mid there are usually mages (ranged champs) that will annoy you hard when you try to farm. I like to rotate so I go mid.
