I used to watch when this was syndicated on TBS years ago. I remember it was cancelled on CBS, but they had an opening for a timeslot and brought it back for a half-season.
It's odd you bring it up, because another thread today was talking about what happened to "My Name Is Earl" in reruns, which is by the same creator, Greg Garcia. "Yes Dear" actually had a lot of offbeat humor, while embracing how generic it's characters and set up where.
Monday nights on CBS were fantastic growing up. Raymond, The King of Queens, Still Standing and of course Yes, Dear. Which I still think is one of the most underrated sitcoms.
