4 kwi 2023 · My understanding is that if I do try to adjust it (with the set screw and lock nut on the throttle body) then the ECU will attempt to lower the idle back down after it relearns it. It will open the idle air control valve further to compensate for me adjusting that set screw.
Adjust the idle by turning the idle screw in or out depending on whether you’re looking to raise or lower the idle: Turning the idle screw in (clockwise) increases the idle RPM (higher). Turning the idle screw out (counterclockwise) decreases the idle RPM (lower).
19 mar 2019 · I was constantly adjusting the idle rpm for the conditions. Air temp dropped, I'd adjust. Engine got real hot, I'd adjust. Engine got cold again, I'd adjust. I just found the stock air filter too restrictive, which caused the idle to be very temperamental. I installed a Uni air filter with a clamp on attachment. I never had to touch the idle again.
21 gru 2008 · I was wondering if there is another way to adjust the idle speed without using the screw that is located to the right of the air box. No matter how many revolutions I turn it, (by hand or with a screwdriver) the idle speed does not increase. I can tell it is idling low and it's stalling out.
