Like OP and others have mentioned, the value of an online MBA really depends on your goals, what kind of outcome you're looking for, and also the university you end up going with. And like what was already mentioned, an MBA program (online or on-campus), you get out of it what you put into it.

My MBA was done entirely online. My employer paid for most of the cost - roughly $12,000 of it. I paid the remaining $1,500 out of pocket.
Yale is a great university, but MBA is not worth it. The school is more for those who want to work for non-profits and NGO's. There are better universities to get MBA from to work in for-profit and corporate sector.
Not planning to change industry nor role but happy to explore if an online MBA could open new doors. Currently bringing in close to USD 150k annually. Online is the only option though it might only be a tick the box exercise. Considering between the following online programs:

Hi everyone! So I’ve accepted my offer for Yale SOM 2Y MBA’26 - and slightly panicking right now thinking about the cost of living. The official website says 29k per year is room, board and personal expenses, but I feel like this is largely underreported.

I think it depends on what your alternatives without an MBA are as well as your recruiting goals post-MBA. If your alternative without an MBA is a job with a salary that pays less than 100-120k then it is worth it.
