Hi, I found your thread after searching this extension on Google. I had the exact same problem with the Yahoo redirections since March, they were going through a website called searchingcafe.com and the Yahoo URL had my IP adress and OS informations.

If you click "done" without looking closely, you'll accidentally accept "secure search" as your default browser. And, as of 2020, "yahoo search" is the only search engine that McAfee Webadvisor has signed up for Securesearch. So that's why it defaults to Yahoo.
So, I'm familiar with the "standard" yahoo browser hijack that switches your chrome to secure search with Yahoo. You can fix this by simply switching back to chrome, and at the very worst in most cases ive seen online, resetting your chrome settings.
My default search engine is automatically set to yahoo for some reason, and when I go to Chrome Settings it says; "Google Chrome is your Default Browser" and has absolutely nowhere for me to change it.
Like i've been using the chrome browser for forever now and I've never had a problem with it, but now when I search up anything using the serach bar it just redirects me to Yahoo. I have already tried resetting my default browser and it is currently on google, but it doesn't help anything.
