The Yaesu SP-8 is a perfect match, cosmetically and functionally, for my main Yaesu rigs. Have used it for years on my FT-920 and recently added an FT-1000MP Mark-V Field to my station. With the dual input and selective output of the speaker I have both radios connected and it is easy to switch radios without having to unplug/plug cables.

16 cze 2014 · My 857D was purchesed in Jan 2008 and had the noise problem for about 24 months and last month, no RF output on HF. I belong to a Yaesu forum and searching through the older posts, I found the issue with complaints all over the globe. I have taken it up with other hams as well and will feedback here.
Another issue is if there are any issues that require repair from Yaesu, you will be sending your radio back to Japan for repairs.
