The whole truth is that the only decent (and recent) Yaesu HT is the FT-1XD or maybe the FT70 if you want C4FM but don't care about GPS/APRS. Otherwise consider buying an Icom or just keep the old one.
I currently enjoy the TiVo Stream 4k. I especially like how the YouTube TV guide is built into the TiVo stream app. If you’re a fan of old school TiVo, then this is certainly a streaming device you’ll enjoy. I find it can be a little laggy at times, but I overlook it as most streaming devices tend to lag at times, from my experience that is.
Overall I think that was a good review. I was paying like $160/month for DirecTV and only watched 5-10 channels. YTTV isn't perfect, but overall I like it. Your cons are mostly the same as other services.
To overcome the quality issues, I've been able to use my YTTV credentials to watch the content (mostly sports) on the network apps (Fox Sports, ESPN, etc.). Its an easy workaround, but if the issues persist, my opinion will change. Give it more than a few days though.
For now, I have BOTH DirecTV Stream AND an active YTTV subscription. So, I decided to do a little side-by-side and see how they compare. Here are my observations (equipment is 800mb/s cable internet hardwired via cat6 directly to Shield TV Pro, Apple TV 4K, Google Chromecast, and Roku Ultra to a 105" screen through a LG 4K laser projector)...
