11 lis 2018 · I received an email from Ed Ve7ED raising awareness to a new USB serial driver from Silicon Labs, this is the chip which Yaesu uses in the FTDX3000 and I suspect other serial to USB radios and cables. Note if you are using Linux or OSX drivers for those platforms are also available.
Following the instructions on Yaesu's virtual com port driver installation manual, I tried to download and install the COM driver to connect my DX10 to my PC. So far, I download the driver but am unable to install it.
SCU-17 Setup. Follow the instructions in this section if you're not using an FTDX-3000 or FT-991. Install the Virtual COM Port Driver and Virtual Soundcard Driver by following these instructions (do this before you connect the SCU-17 to your transceiver!)
Typically you can connect any earpiece to your mic input jack and this should resolve the issue. If your computer has a single jack for both mic and speaker audio, then you may have to use a USB sound card that provides the two jacks.
