With the Heil mic, try -4 to -6 at 200Hz. With the Yaesu mic, try dropping to 5 at 300Hz. If you need more depth for your voice with the Yaesu mic, try a bandwidth of 5 to 8, or even 10, at 300 Hertz.
Here are some screen shots and tips from my own setup for running WSJT-X FT8 with my Yaesu FTDX101D and a new Windows 11 computer. These settings may help you on a FTDX10 or FT710, since they are contemporary radios with similar hardware architecture.
If you keep the settings of Q or BWTH (bandwidth) to less than 2, you can easily think of the Yaesu EQ as a standard 3 band EQ: LOW, MID, HIGH. Besides the dB boost or cut, you also get to choose the center frequencies of the LOW, MID, and HIGH EQ bands.
