I’m thinking about picking up an FT5DR, and was wondering what the likelihood is of Yaesu releasing a new fusion handheld in the next 12 months? Are there any trade shows where ne products are typically announced, or any other way of predicting when new radios are likely to become available?
26 sie 2024 · Yaesu revealed the FTX-1F, a portable radio designed to compete with the Icom IC-705. Icom announced the IC-7760, a "Shack Style" transceiver with separate base and dual display panel. Kenwood revealed a yet to be named mobile rig capable of both APRS and DSTAR.
They're going to give me their 10 most expensive base station, mobile, and HT radios for free. Yes, 30 radios for free. Either that or consolidation, making newer and better radios. Or they could always buy Baofeng and give people one less thing to complain about.
